The following is a list of URLs for various things that can be done in
GIMP 2.8 or higher. If similar tutorials on a subject are found, then
they are either listed below the same label or will be replaced. 
The URLs listed may be links to videos, blogs, documents, etc. Maybe one 
of these days I'll put a PDF together with screenshots for all of this, 
but this will have to do for now.

If a video is listed and you are using an older or text-browser on a
GNU/Linux operating system on an older computer and you have both 'mpv'
and 'youtube-dl' installed, you can view videos by running:

mpv --vo=x11,drm,tct,caca --ao=pulse,alsa,jack ytdl-format="best[ext=mp4][height<=?720]" https://...

...and it will work even in the TTY/console as long as you are runlevel
3 or 5, which is true in most cases. If you see a link to a PDF, you can
download it using 'curl -JLO http://...' in the command-line and then
if in TTY/console, view it with the 'fbi' by running 
'fbgs /path/to/file.pdf'. Otherwise, just open the document like you 
normally would.

If the link provided you want to view is a blog, you may be able to use
'w3m' in the TTY/console. If w3m-img is not installed and setup in a way
to automatically show images, you can do it by highlighting green links
with the cursor and then use SHIFT+i to open the image in a 
frame-buffer.
