Targeting Older Systems ----------------------- Document Last updated: 2025/08/13 Windows 2000/XP --------------- If you want to create a Windows XP game using CopperCube, you will have to use v5.7.1 or older, which only has a 14-day free trail. This is the last version of CopperCube compatible with Windows XP, regardless of the fact that v6.3 was technically the last to support 32-bit Intel. You cannot open newer projects (or parts) with older versions of CopperCube. Therefore, you best hope is to install v5.7.1 on a 32-bit Intel Mac OS X system and then run something like 'AppCleaner' to completely remove CopperCube v5.7.1, reinstall, and keep going, doing this over and over again. You may also be able to do this on Windows XP, but I am not sure. Also, supposeldy, v5.7.1 will also build EXE's that will run on Windows 2000. I have also noticed that the build optins for this version have all sorts of graphics driver related things, such as choosing the DirectX version or even "Software," which would be good for older computers that you cannot figure-out have to get 3D acceleration working. Export options for v5.7.1 are Windows, Mac OS X, Android, HTML, and SWF. Since things like 'npm' and 'electron-builder' may not be options for older systems, you may be able to find a program to turn an SWF into an EXE. Mac OS X 32-bit Intel --------------------- The last working version of CopperCube for a 32-bit Intel Mac OS X system is v6.3. I have only tested this on a Snow Leopard (10.6.8) machine but it may also run on Leopard (10.5). The Windows publishing option will not run on Windows XP. Also, SWF (Flash) option was removed in v6. WebGL (HTML) export will run offline if you use the 'SpiderWeb' web browser on Snow Leopard. Game saves regarding HTML versions of these games are kept within a web browser's Local Storage.
