Beyond that, I have no idea if this will be relevant. If a partition labeled as "Documents on" is available on a GNU/Linux system when an iOS device is plugged in, the following is a list of apps in which you should get easy access to exported files and projects rather than needing iTunes to add/remove files to/from the device. If you do not have "Documents on" showing up in the file-manager, you need a GNU/Linux system with 'systemd' enabled and iDeviceMounter and/or 'libimobiledevice-utils' installed. Also, the iOS device needs to be jailbroken with 'Apple File Conduit "2"' installed (via Cydia). Alphabetical order: ------------------ - FL Studio HD v2.4 - FL Studio Mobile v3.1.13 - GarageBand v1.3 - iFile v3.0 - Keynote v1.7.2 - Numbers v1.7.2 - Pages v1.7.2 - Pianist Pro v1.7 - Procreate v1.9.2 (iPad version; light-gray icon with rainbow brush-head; for ~iOS6) - VLC v3.3.12 Notes/Tips ---------- Use the iFile v3.0 directory to add files to the iOS device via "Documents on" but then use 'FileBrowser' from Cydia on the iOS device for the rest of what you need as iFile v3.0 will most likely not recognize your "Open with" apps, including iBooks. If you find a copy of Procreate v2.2 rather than the listed "v1.9.2," the newer version will probably crash each time you try to launch it. GarageBand v1.3 exports should be compatible with the latest version of GarageBand for Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6). If you want MIDI export, you will have to create music with "FL Studio Mobile." When doing office-related work using Pages, Numbers, and/or Keynote, make sure to export in the Microsoft formats as LibreOffice still does not have *.pages and etc. support. However, if you have a Snow Leopard machine (Mac OS X 10.6), these versions listed should be compatible with iWork 09. Any documents added to the iOS versions of Pages, Numbers, and Keynote get converted in a way that is only compatible with the mobile versions, i.e., Apple's "everything is a database" philosophy. If 'systemd' is not available on your GNU/Linux system and you need to grab your Procreate "masterpiece," you should be able to just export the image to the iOS device's photos and then grab it just as if it were any other DCIM image via a "Photos" partition. Video, music, and playlist files (including Internet radio/video m3u8 stuff) can be added using a network connection between the iOS device and a desktop web browser via one of VLC's settings if 'systemd' is not an option. Books can be added to iBooks via 'Calibre' for GNU/Linux using a network connection and Safari on the iOS device. They can also be added via iFile's directory in "Documents on" and then "Open with" using 'FileBrowser' from Cydia on the iOS device.
