I think I got bored and was just fishing for command-line things to do, aka a "duct tape" solution to a problem no one really has. This video shows how to use the terminal web browser "w3m" as a local file browser instead. This video also contains a keyboard keys used subtitle of sorts to help explain things. Trust me, you're better off using "ranger" as a command-line file browser, but oh well.
