The following software are for 32-bit Intel/ARM, PPC, and 68k

Assume 32-bit Intel 10.6.8 with Rosetta installed but some software may run on 10.5 or 10.4.
Rosetta is for running Carbonized PowerPC Mac OS X applications.
- AppCleaner 2.3 - use to thoroughly uninstall apps
- Bochs v2.6.8 - a virtual machine program for running other 32-bit Intel-friendly operating systems while still running Mac OS X
- Fink 0.36.5 - makes it so you can install Unix programs using 'apt-get' like on GNU/Linux but from Fink (and related) repositories; click here for compile and installation instructions
- Gutenprint 5.1.7 - formerly "Gimp-Print," Gutenprint is a collection of free-software printer drivers for use with UNIX spooling systems, such as CUPS, LPR, and LPRng; you may also want usbtb 1.0.17 if you need to use an adapter to connect an older printer
- MacPorts 2.8.1 - a package manager for searching and compiling free and open-source software from source, much of which is easily installed on GNU/Linux, to Mac OS X
- MySQL 5.6.20 - an open-source relational database management system
- ntfs-3g 2010-10.2 - an open-source way to get NTFS support
- OSXFuse 3.5.3 - adds EXT2/3/4 support
- QEMU 5.1.0 Cocoa "Screamer" - free and open-source virtual machine emulation; the script that runs inside of the app appears to be for Mac OS X 10.3 (IMG not included) but could be changed
- RaidEye v2.2 - manage RAID stuff; daemon runs in the background at boot
- Sorbet Leopard - "Imagine if Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard was released for the PowerPC architecture"... but ran almost as fast as Tiger.
- TinkerTool v4 - use this tool to tweak Mac OS X settings not normally available in a user-friendly way
- UNetbootin 631 - use this to flash ISO's and disk images to USB hard drives for booting other operating systems, such as GNU/Linux
- VirtualBox 4.3.40 - use this to run other 32-bit or 16-bit, Intel-based operating systems from inside of Mac OS X; you will also want the VirtualBox Extension Pack
- WaterRoof v3.8 - a graphical front-end (GUI) for IPFW; aka, firewall stuff but more advanced than the defaults you see in the usual firewall settings
- XQuartz 2.6.3 - use to run applications that use the X.Org X Window System

Jailbreak Required
- AlwaysBackCamera v1.0.3 - install using Cydia; camera will default to back lens
- FileBrowser v1.3 - advanced file manager running under root
- iCleaner Pro - install using Cydia; cleans various things in your iOS system
- iFile v3.0 - a file-manager; you may need this in order to add files using "Documents on" when connected to GNU/Linux
- IPA Installer v3.23 - install using Cydia; along with the command-line version (IPA Installer Console v3.4.1-1) and 'AppSync Unified', this is what you use to install IPA files on a 32-bit Jailbroken iOS device; the command-line version of IPA Installer may be the only way to remove apps
- MTerminal v1.4-5 - install using Cydia; a MobileTerminal fork
- Protect My Privacy v3.4.3-1 - install using Cydia; this is for when iOS asking permission to access things is not enough; you can even give an app access to a fake set of contacts, music list, UUID, and location
